Prakash Man missing from the crucial meeting

Yen (Kathmandu), Nepal Mandala – Before the New Constitution of Nepal drafting is completed, the term for the CA and the Government is ending tomorrow (May 28 Satday) midnight, yet the top leaders from NC, UML, UCPN have failed to end the deadlock. At yesterdayโ€™s meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, they could not arrive at any decision though the leaders say they held “serious talks” on all contentious issues, primarily the integration of Maoist combatants, extension of the Constituent Assembly’s tenure and formation of national government.

Meanwhile, among the top leaders joined this crucial meeting with Prime Minster and UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal were Maiost chairman Prachanda accompanied by Vice Chairmen Mohan Vaidya, Baburam Bhattarai; NC President Sushil Koirala accompanied by NC General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Ram Saran Mahat while UML side included General Secretary Iswor Pokharel and Bhim Rawal.

The Newah wonders why the elected General Secretary of NCโ€™s Prakash Man Singh was missing from this crucial meeting. Has he been replaced by the newly “appointed” General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula or the Newar leader is personally not interested in or was he asked to look after the office work of NC as many Newar used to be loyal than to be leaders, despite they are elected for leadership of both community and the nation by the people?
