Jojalapa (In Nepal Bhasa: Hello) !
Heartiest welcome to Nepal Lipi Online portal!

This portal aims to help those who desire to learn how to use Nepal Lipi, the original script of Nepal. This portal can be viewed on desktop, PC, tablet and mobile as well.

Nepal Lipi and goal of this online portal
Nepal is the name of the country while people there in are Nepami in Nepal Bhasa, the original language of Nepal. The language spoken by the ancestors of this country and left for the present generation is called Nepal Bhasa because it was spoken in the country, Nepal. The script to write Nepal Bhasa is called Nepal Lipi, the script originated in Nepal.

Although the words spoken may have been lost in the sky, the identity of Nepal Bhasa speakers were left preserved because they were left in writing. However, as if the saying of use it or lose it reminds the Nepal Bhasa and its script have lost because of people concerned have abandoned the use of it. As a result Nepal Bhasa has been listed as an “indefinitely endangered language” by UNESCO in 2003.

Despite there are still some people speaking Nepal Bhasa, the majority have lost the knowledge of how to write their mother tongue in their own script, the Nepal Lipi, the script has lost in the country of it own origination. As informed people that includes you and us, we feel that it’s our duty to revitalize this language and its script in the land of their own origination.

This online portal aims to revitalize this language and its script. The goal of this portal is to help people use Nepal Bhasa and its script Nepal Lipi; to conserve the history written in Nepal Lipi and dated on Nepal Samvat calendar, the original calendar of Nepal.; and help increase the number of people who are Nepal Bhasa and its script – the Nepal Lipi literate in their own land of birth.
