The Newah community, the indigenous people of the Nepal Mandala that surrounds capital city of Kathmandu is staging a mass demonstration raising their voice for their rights to be enshrined in the new Constitution ensuring their right to reestablish the Nepal Mandala as their legitimate autonomy in the new Federal Republic of Nepal. A mass demonstration is being organized on this Friday the 20th Pohela 1129 (16th Jan. ‘09) to march from Basantapur to hand over the signed petition to the Constituent Assembly.
The Struggle Committee for the Newah Autonomous State has called on the Newah community in and outside Nepal Mandala and their supporters to join the demonstration. More in Nepal Bhasa.

येँ, नेपाल मण्डल- न्हूगु नेपाःया न्हूगु संविधानय् नेवाः सः दुथ्याकेतः नेसं ११२९ प्वहेला २० (माघ ३ गते) या ११ता ईलय बसन्तपुरँ न्ह्याइगु नेवाः जुलुसय् व्वतिकयादियेतः, नेवाः स्वायत्त राज्य – मंकाः संघर्ष समितिया पाखै सकसितः ब्वनापौ छोयातःगु न्यनेदु।
ब्वनापौली धयातःगु दु, “नेपाःया न्हूगु संविधानय् नेवाःतयेगु हक, हीत व अधिकार संरक्षण व सुनिश्चित् यायेतः ‘नेवाःमंका अवधारणा’ व नेवाः आदिभूमि नेपाल मण्डलय् ‘नेवाः स्वायत्त राज्य’ घोषणा याकेत मुंकागु ‘ल्हाचिँ’यात झी सकल नेवाःतयेगु मंका सः (अभिमत) कथँ ‘संविधानसभाय’य् लःल्हाः वनेगु नेवाः जुलुसय् थःथःगु बाजँ, ध्वाँय्, प्लाकाःड आदि ज्वनाः सकसिनँ ब्वतिकयादिसँ। सकल व्यवसायीपिसँ थःगु ज्यासुलं तया झीगु थ्व मंका झ्याझ्वलय् ब्वति कयादीतनं इनाप याना” तःगु दु। थ्व जुलुसे झी सकल नेवाःत मवँसा, सुवनी? – The Newah
