Time to come forward to contribute to preserve and promote our culture

Hon. Dr. Padma Ratna Tuladhar appealed to Newah brothers and sisters at home and abroad that it is time to come forward to contribute to preserve and promote our culture on our own. He said this at the felicitation programme held in his honour in Tokyo last month. “To the outside world, we are known to be prosperous. But our only school has to depend on Japanese aid and we have not been able to give education to our children in our own mother tongue, Nepal Bhasa despite we have won our constitutional right to receive education in our own mother tongue. The only archive that preserve our valuable manuscripts on our history and culture are being run with Japanese support. While showing our gratitude and felicitating those who helped us, it is also time for us to come forward to preserve and promote our culture ourselves, if we are proud of our nation” said the Human rights advocate leader and facilitator of Peace process of Nepal.
